Back in the South

It's good to be "home" again.

1. Everything seems so cheap.
2. Everything seems so close (with a car).
3. A coffee shop is a luxury.
4. The first Banana Republic in Atlantic Canada has opened! I actually bought something not on sale.
5. Radiology is really really boring (current selective rotation).
6. Halifax is very humid, but ain't too bad.

As promised, some pictures of Iqaluit. You can click on the pictures for a larger view.

The hospital.

The view from the patio before the ice melts.

After the ice melts.
There are only 3 months of the year in which ships can come into the bay.

Super adorable Metis girls wearing baby-carriers (except they are teddy bears).
Their picture actually ended up in the front page of the local paper for Parks Day.

Playground against the sky.

Clever name.

The first Hudson Bay Company posting & the water in front.

Territorial Park.

Airport and my first medivac plane at 1am

The local gym & and "Road to Nowhere"

Overview of the town.

I was not kidding about the prices.
