More preggo factoids

#5. Looking at pictures of cute babies will increase your chances of having the same. My parents put up the cover of the "Babies R Us" on the kitchen wall so I can look at it daily.

The opposite apparently is also true. Maybe I should have the nurses at the clinic screen my patients based on cuteness level, and I can refuse to see the average joes.

#6. Most chinese women have bought this radiation shield for their bellies to be worn/draped while pregnant so that if they have to work at a computer, you can protect the baby from harmful radiation. Apparently, this is a very popular item in china. My dad's colleagues have one, so how could I, as a pediatrician, not know about this, and be so careless and have actually been seen putting my laptop on my lap!!! Ahhh!!! It's over!!!

I then point out that it is in fact more dangerous for me to be seeing sick kids at work who have germs that could infect my baby, so maybe I should just stay home.
